On August 4, 2020, the European authorities adopted a new restriction on diisocyanates under REACH, targeting respiratory and dermal sensitization potentially caused by diisocyanates. This new restriction specifies the need for training and labeling requirements for industrial or professional users of diisocyanates (individually or in mixtures) with a monomer concentration greater than 0.1% by weight.
Therefore, a PU training platform has been launched and FEICA (European Adhesives and Sealants Industry Association) members can use it to receive the training. From November 2021, training will be available in English. By mid-2022, training will be available in all EU languages. The platform is accessible throughout the EU. The FEICA European Executive Board took the decision to financially support the training of professional and industrial users of polyurethane (PU) adhesives and sealants.
