ASEFCA ASEFCA’s mission is to provide a point of reference for adhesives and glues companies, for access to all information related to the sector: advice, training, information on regulations and legislation… everything related to current affairs and always focusing on providing or creating solutions to present and future problems of any company.

Information to Associates

ASEFCA keeps its associates informed about legislation, conferences, commercial agreements, courses, seminars, documents/guides, scientific news, economic studies, internal meetings and adhesive needs of potential clients, through informative circulars and periodic newsletters in “Newsletter” format.

Current legislation

ASEFCA has a Technical Working Group that deals with aspects related to legislation in force or in preparation at both national and international level, which horizontally affect the sector. With the support of FEICA, other European or national associations related to the chemical industry and governmental agencies, adequate information and assistance on legislation is provided.

Training activities

ASEFCA collaborates in the organization of the national Congress on Adhesives, which is held biannually in conjunction with the GEAA. This congress, of a scientific-technical nature, brings together all the groups involved in the adhesives sector, both companies and Technological Institutes and Universities, in order to present their scientific achievements and lines of action. It also organizes courses on adhesion and adhesives for users in various industrial sectors.

National and European Standardization

Participation in standardization tasks is aimed at adapting the industrial activity of the sector to the requirements of the European context and international competition. To this end, ASEFCA and its associated companies actively collaborate with UNE in the management of national and international committees and in various specialized working groups.

ASEFCA holds the Secretariat of the National Standardization Committee AEN/CTN143 “Adhesives and Sealants” and is a member of and/or participates in other related Standardization Committees:

European Committee for Standardization CEN/TC 193 “Adhesives”.
Comité Europeo de Normalización CEN/TC 349 “Sellantes para juntas en la construcción de edificios”.
Technical Committee for Standardization AEN/CTN 193 “Evaluation of the emission of hazardous substances from construction products”.

Committee of Etica

ASEFCA also carries out other specific activities such as organizing meetings with suppliers or organizations to discuss issues of general interest to the sector, and strives to ensure market discipline through its Ethics Committee. It is dedicated to the surveillance and control of compliance with current legislation on product labeling.

ASEFCA is present on social networks. It shares news on its Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin pages, with the aim of giving visibility to the latest trends in the adhesives and sealants sector, as well as the work developed by our partners.
